A copy of the picture is also sent directly to the phone so I can share it with others using Air Drop.Īre you using the Play Memories free remote control App installed onto your a6000? I haven't used this feature much other than as a remote shutter with a 2 second delay for group shots with the camera on a tripod.

Imaging Edge Mobile latest version and a6000 latest firmware. I just used it on Saturday to take a bunch of family pictures in front of the Christmas tree and it worked for me using my iPhone Xr and a6000. Thank you for testing those variants!! I was looking at either an a6000 or a6300 as a tethered camera for doing some experiment recording and now I can include a6300 in the viable list of choices! I had planned on using the Olympus Application, but with m4/3, I would have had a more difficult time showing them depth of field with change of f-stop setting. And I now plan to make use of this Application. I have a Merit Badge meeting with some Boy Scouts in the near future.
Sony a6000 video remote control for mac update#
Looks like someone failed to update the compatibility list! I am curious if anyone has tested the A6000 and A6300 to see if the compatibility list is also wrong about them. It says the A6000/A6300/A6500 don't do live view, but I have the A6500 and it definitely does show the live view in the remote application. I already checked the compatibility list here: I am curious if the A6000 or the A6300 can do tethered shooting including live view display with the Sony Imaging Edge Remote software.
